Property Portfolio : THE ATLANTIS
A Marquis Residence
Built in 1940 by the renowned architect, L. Murray Dixon, The Atlantis embodies the principles and spirit of the Art Deco movement that defined Miami Beach then and now. The perfect marriage of form and function coupled with design inspired by movement and fantasy. A Deco façade with Neo-classical and Mediterranean Revival details opens up to contemporary residences with spacious interiors restored to the height of sophistication.

In this 16-unit apartment house, initially named Culver Apartments, The Citadel Group pays homage to Dixon and his original Atlantis, the “miniature skyscraper” hotel that was regrettably demolished in 1973. Recently, our preservation efforts were recognized by the Miami Design Preservation League and The Atlantis was awarded as “one of Miami Beach’s most impressively maintained Art Deco buildings.”
